Co-President
Sheri Pickover, PhD, LPC is an Assistant Professor and the Clinical Director of the University of Detroit mercy (UDM) Counseling Clinic, a no cost clinic that provides mental health services to members of the Detroit Community and serves as the practicum training site for master’s level counseling students.  Sheri received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan, Master’s in Education from the University of Pennsylvania and her PhD in Counselor Education from Oakland University. She has eighteen years of clinical experience working with children and families in the child welfare system and her clinical specialty is working with emotionally impaired children and their families.  She is certified in Strategic Family therapy, CAFAS certified and has spent the majority of her career providing services to the residents of Detroit and Wayne County.

Sandy Manoogian, PhD, LPC, CRC, ACS

Sandy provides individual and group supervision for LLPCs. She is trained and experienced in the practice of clinical supervision. She has been a professional counselor since 1977.

Treasurer
Joel Lane

Joel A. Lane, MA, LPC, NCC, is a doctoral candidate in the Counselor Education program at Oakland University.  He works as a mental health counselor at Wentworth & Associates in Utica, specializing in adolescent and young adult populations.  Additionally, Joel is employed as an adjunct professor and supervisor for Oakland University’s Masters in Counseling program, and also supervises a small number of professional counselors who work under limited licenses.  Joel received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Music from Central Michigan University as well as a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Oakland University.  He is actively involved in several counseling organizations, and is a frequent presenter at numerous counseling conferences at the national, regional, and state levels.
